This project presents information that can help to answer the basic question of interest: How to understand today's society. In particular, this project describes recent global social, political, economic and demographic changes, and provides links to data, theory and research. The reports and links can be used to understand where the world is today and how it got here.

Online Dictionary of the Social Sciences
This social science dictionary has over 1000 entries covering the disciplines of sociology, criminology, political science and women's study with a commitment to Canadian examples, events and names.

This project presents a series of essays summarizing our current knowledge about different global issues, written by people with knowledge or experience in the field. These essays are intended for the general audience, so should be useful for anyone; students, researchers, or anyone interested in finding out what we know.
